The Chianti hills are one of the most evocative landscapes of Tuscany and of Italy. Famous for their wines, they include parts of several Provinces, above all those of Siena and Florence.

Just 12 km away is Siena, a magnificent city whose history lives in its architecture, above all in the famous Piazza del Campo where the Palio is held every July and August.

The nearby medieval towns and their numerous churches and castles include: Castelnuovo Berardenga, San Gusmè, Castellina, Radda, Gaiole, San Gimignano, Colle Val d'Elsa, Volterra.

To the south, the view extends to the Crete (clay hills), which lead on to Pienza, Montalcino, Monte Oliveto, Bagno Vignoni, Asciano, Rapolano, Montepulciano.

The Mediterranean and the Maremma are easily reached through the Colline Metallifere (metal-bearing hills) and the mysterious and solitary Abbey of San Galgano.

Florence is one hour away, as is Arezzo.
